Were looking for a Remote Electrical Engineer who's ready to design, build, and troubleshoot electrical systems for cutting-edge engineering projects across the United States.

What You'll Be Doing

Electrical Design & Engineering

- Develop, test, and refine electrical systems for construction, automation, and industrial projects.

- Use AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and other design software to create circuit schematics, panel layouts, and system blueprints.

- Design power distribution systems (480VAC, 600VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC controls) for various engineering applications.

- Select and specify electrical components, network I/O devices, and industrial automation hardware.

- Prepare bills of materials, wiring diagrams, and electrical system documentation.

Project Execution & Troubleshooting

- Support projects from concept through design, installation, testing, and final commissioning.

- Work closely with mechanical engineers, controls engineers, and project managers to integrate electrical systems into broader project designs.

- Perform electrical troubleshooting using hand tools and diagnostic meters.

- Collaborate with installation teams to oversee electrical work, troubleshoot on-site issues, and ensure project success.

Automation & Control Systems

- Design and configure PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems for automation projects.

- Work with Allen-Bradley PLCs, industrial communication networks, and other automation controllers.

- Develop control panel layouts and communication architecture diagrams.

- Conduct in-house testing and on-site system commissioning at client locations.

Client & Team Collaboration

- Meet with clients, contractors, and project teams to define system requirements and develop technical specifications.

- Participate in design reviews, safety meetings, and technical discussions to improve system performance.

- Provide customer training and technical support during project turnover and post-installation support.

Documentation & Reporting

- Generate project documentation, including functional specifications, descriptions of operation, and as-built drawings.

- Maintain accurate engineering worksheets, system layouts, and compliance records.

- Update designs and blueprints to reflect final installed systems.

What We are Looking For

Education & Experience

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

- 0-3 years of experience (internship experience in material handling, industrial automation, or engineering projects is a plus).

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and engineering design tools.

- Knowledge of power distribution, control circuits, industrial automation, and PLC programming.

- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs, industrial control networks, and HMI systems (a plus!).

- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.

- Strong understanding of communication networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).

- Ability to perform hands-on electrical troubleshooting using various tools and meters.
