Technical Manager - Woodwork / Joinery Factory

Overview

Responsible for managing all technical, engineering, and production coordination activities in the woodwork/joinery factory to ensure accurate drawings, efficient production, and high-quality final products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and review shop drawings, cutting lists, and material schedules.
• Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate between design, production, procurement, and project teams.
• Support production by resolving technical issues and ensuring correct fabrication methods.
• Oversee quality control across cutting, assembly, finishing, and packing.
• Manage material selection and reduce waste through optimized production techniques.
• Supervise and develop the technical team (draftsmen, engineers, CNC programmers).

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related Field
• 8+ years experience in joinery/woodwork, including managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of woodwork fabrication, materials, and finishing.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and woodworking software; CNC knowledge is a plus.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Reporting

• Reports to: Factory Manager / Operations Director
• Supervises: Technical Office Team
