IP Lawyer / Paralegal

One of our prestigious clients based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, is looking for experienced IP Lawyers or Paralegals to join their team immediately.

SALARY: Negotiable (Based on experience and qualifications)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle Intellectual Property (IP) matters including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and designs.
• Prepare, review, and file IP applications, renewals, oppositions, and assignments.
• Conduct IP searches, due diligence, and legal research.
• Liaise with local and international IP offices, attorneys, and clients.
• Maintain accurate records and manage IP portfolios and deadlines.
• Draft legal documents, agreements, and correspondence related to IP matters.
• Support litigation and enforcement actions related to IP rights, if required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Law degree or relevant qualification in Intellectual Property (for Lawyers).
• Diploma/Degree in Law or relevant certification (for Paralegal).
• Prior experience in handling IP-related work is essential.
• Strong knowledge of local and international IP laws and procedures.
• Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office and legal documentation systems.
