About the job HR & Compliance Executive
One of our reputed clients, a leading outsourcing and staffing solutions provider, is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented HR & Compliance Executive to join their Colombo office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing full-cycle HR operations, ensuring legal compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and employees.
SALARY: LKR 125,000 - 175,000
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as the primary liaison between clients and outsourced employees, ensuring smooth HR communication and service delivery.
- Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle including onboarding, contract preparation, transfers, regularization, and separations.
- Ensure compliance with Sri Lankan labor laws, including EPF/ETF administration, tax obligations, insurance, and statutory reporting.
- Execute accurate and timely monthly payroll processing, addressing employee payroll queries effectively.
- Maintain strong employee relations through regular communication, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with client management teams to monitor and enhance employee performance, providing HR insights and advice.
- Plan and organize employee engagement initiatives such as training, welfare programs, and team-building activities.
- Identify and mitigate compliance or operational risks through preventive and corrective actions.
- Prepare monthly HR service reports including staffing analytics, performance insights, and improvement suggestions.
- Perform additional HR and administrative duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or related field (legal background preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience in Sri Lankapreferably in outsourcing, staffing, or multinational environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Sri Lankan labor legislation, HR compliance, EPF/ETF, taxation, and industrial relations.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage cross-cultural interactions.
- High professionalism, accountability, and a service-oriented mindset.
- Proactive problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Fluency in Sinhala and English (Tamil/Chinese proficiency is an advantage).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
