About the job PROVINCIAL SALES MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY:
Is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, implementing, and monitoring the provincial sales and marketing plans and programs of the companys products and services so that sales objectives and targets will be attained.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Is directly responsible for attaining the provincial sales and targets of the Companys products
2. Develops business plans which include sales, distribution, marketing promotions and
Training programs and strategies for his/her sales group thats ensures achievement of sales and profitability goals and objectives.
3. Formulates and recommends for approval pricing and discount strategies to ensure competitiveness of products and services while striving t maintain acceptable profit margins.
4. Develops and maintains long term customer relationships thru the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs.
5. Directs, motivates and monitors his / her sales division to ensure attainment of both group and individual objectives and targets:
5.1 Ensures that all Sales Specialists promote the companys products effectively and meet
or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, presentations, proposals and closes.
5.2 Conducts regular coaching and counseling of Sales Specialists tp build motivation and
Hone their selling skills.
5.3 Conducts regular field work with the Sales Specialists to understand their needs, review
Field performances and acquire a good understanding of the market.
5.4 Conducts periodic review of Sales Specialists performance and recommends or
Implements appropriate measures for improvement.
5.5 Ensures profitable usage of sales,marketing, promotional and other operational tools
Provided by the company and/or its business partners.
6. Manages accounts receivables of clients in his/her area of responsibility to ensure
adherence to company credit policies and minimize or prevent overdue accounts.
7. Coordinates with the Technical and Service Team to ensure that technical and applications
Support to customer is provided in a timely and cost-effective manner and such that customer satisfaction is attained.
8. Coordinates with the Logistics Department:
8.1 To ensure timely, efficient and cost effective delivery of clients orders.
8.2 Provides regular and reliable forecasts or product stock requirements to ensure
Just in-time product availability.
8.3 Ensure that customer complaints on product performance and delivery issues are dealt
with accordingly.
9. Coordinates with the Finance Department:
9.1 To ensure adherence to company credit policies by his/her sales group.
9.2 To ensure that budgetary requirements of the group are met in a timely efficient
and cost effective manner within the budget guidelines
10. Communicates with sales and marketing counterparts of suppliers and/or foreign principals
Of the sales group on sales and marketing issues.
11. Provides regular, timely and accurate reports to senior management on the sales performance of his/her sales division as well as on other issues that will have an impact
On the attainment of company goals and objectives.
12. Provides regular, timely and reliable information and feedback to senior management
on market activities, developments, trends and competitor activities.
13. Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within his/her division.
