About the job HR Specialist
This position reports to the Chief Financial Director and is responsible for all areas related to general and cost accounting, accounts payable, financial report preparation, and tax compliance. The duties will include developing and maintaining accounting principles and best practices to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
- Entering monthly financial data into the ledger, such as sales, store inventory receipts and consumption, accruals, deferrals, and reclassification entries.
- Prepare monthly Stores P&L
- Analyze the monthly cost of sales (CS) and identify reasons for higher CS%.
- Prepare and analyze monthly inventory balance reports.
- Maintain Fixed Asset Lapsing Schedule acquisition, disposal. Compute and record monthly depreciation.
- Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements.
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements. - Ensure timely payment of all corporate monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and supporting schedules, including VAT, Withholding Tax, DST, Income Tax, and other tax returns that arise during business.
- Supporting the month-end process.
- Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and BIR regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- A CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general and cost accounting or audit.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- With an audit frame of mind.
- Experience in process improvement and implementing best practices.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirement.
