Human Resource Generalist Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract skilled workers for nationwide construction projects.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job posting to onboarding, including conducting interviews and preparing job offers.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for high-demand construction roles (e.g., engineers, site managers, skilled laborers).
- Coordinate with project managers and department heads to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
- Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and job boards to source candidates.
- Oversee employee onboarding, including preparation of offer letters, contract signing, orientation, and training coordination.
- Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews and final settlements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, certifications, and training logs.
- Ensure proper documentation for legal compliance.
- Assist in processing payroll, ensuring correct payments, deductions, and compliance with legal requirements.
- Support employees with benefits inquiries and manage the enrollment process for health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Track and report recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, retention rates, and turnover.
- Assist in analyzing recruitment effectiveness and providing data-driven insights to management.
- Develop training and development programs
Human Resource Generalist Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in recruitment or HR generalist roles, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong interviewing and candidate evaluation skills.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment platforms.
- Experience with payroll and benefits administration.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HR systems (HRIS) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs).
- Proven ability to build relationships with recruitment agencies and job boards for sourcing candidate.
