Role Summary:

This position is responsible for managing the activities within Finance function in this client. The position will report directly to Finance Leader, Rest of Asia Pacific. This incumbent provides advice and counsel to the business leaders, and also provides business insight and functional guidance. Assuming the role of a business partner within the organization, to develop and enhance the finance capability of financial planning, analysis, and controllership to support business growth of the company.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and financial expertise to address and seek opportunities for continuing growth and margin expansion.
  • Lead annual AOP and LRP (long range planning) processes and provide accurate and meaningful financial information and provide interpretive, value-added guidance in addition to standard reporting and data compilation required for the business to achieve its financial objectives.
  • Ensure that proper processes are in place for the accurate forecasting of sales, costs, working capital, fixed capital investments and return on investment.
  • Oversee credit and collection initiatives to ensure that credit policies are enforced throughout the organization and that timely collections are made.
  • Assume responsibility for improving process efficiency and implementing cost controls/programs within the organization.
  • Work closely with business leaders to provide needed financial counsel and support for decision making, and in-depth financial and operational analysis to drive profitable and sustainable business growth and operation productivity improvement.
  • Ensure that corporate reporting requirements are met in a timely fashion and in accordance with U.S. GAAP and other appropriate requirements, and that the business complies with components of Sarbanes-Oxley, especially for FICAP, SIC, SOX, FCPA and local statutory and tax requirement.

Ensure evolving finance policies and procedures are in alignment with the organizations standard, verify compliance and detect deviations to improve local control.

  • Ensure all project recording and treatment (including booking/revenue, costs but not limited to them) are in line with relevant policies, LOA and processes
  • Support other ad hoc financial professional tasks and projects in Philippines/region

  • Financial Analysis well-adept to working with financial measurements and indicators to provide meaningful insights to data for high level decision and recommendations.
  • Financial Process and Controls drive continuous improvement on regulations and evolving finance policies to mitigate or reduce complexities.
  • Financial Tool Acumen fully utilize financial systems for accurate and more efficient finance decision making outcomes.
  • Trusted Advisor manage trust and provide guidance to stakeholders for alignment in direction and drive performance.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance, Accountancy, or equivalent business course, licensed CPA
  • Minimum of 15 years' work experience with last 5 years as Finance Manager or last 3 years and as Controller
  • Preferred industry experience in distribution, Trading and services; related to construction.
  • Strong understanding of sales office business, commercial operations and corporate processes.

Solid understanding of business systems in terms of leveraging these systems to enhance functional efficiencies.

  • High ability on financial strategy, including risk minimization and opportunity forecasting
  • High level financial reporting and analysis; with background in FP&A, accounting, tax, treasury, internal control and credit and debt management
  • Must be able to work well and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment required
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment and effectively communicate and collaborate across the organization
