Senior Commercial Underwriter – Non Motor

Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Senior Underwriter – Commercial Lines to join our client's team. This role involves acting as a senior underwriting authority, managing complex commercial risks, and ensuring technically sound decisions aligned with company strategy. The selected candidate will play a key role in driving portfolio performance, supporting team development, and maintaining strong relationships with intermediaries and clients.

Responsibilities:
- Underwrite new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments within delegated authority limits
Assess complex risks and determine appropriate pricing, terms, and coverage
- Build and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries and clients to support retention and growth
- Support team supervision, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring consistent underwriting standards
Handle escalated queries and contribute to portfolio performance and strategic initiatives

Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 7+ years of underwriting experience within commercial lines
- Experience handling commercial and marine insurance products
- ACII qualification preferred or working towards achieving it
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and relationship management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
