Maintenance Electrical Technician

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Electrical Technician to join a manufacturing environment. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and production machinery to ensure efficient plant operations and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and servicing of electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machinery and control systems.
• Install, modify, and maintain electrical wiring, control panels, and power distribution systems.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production stoppages.
• Update maintenance activities and work orders within the maintenance system.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety standards and electrical regulations.
• Support both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities when required.

Requirements

• Trade/Vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or equivalent (MQF/EQF Level 4 or higher).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical fault finding, wiring, control panels, and power distribution systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, inverters, relays, contactors, and other industrial electrical components.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.

Preferred

• Experience using CMMS/ERP maintenance systems.
• Familiarity with industrial automation and PLC-controlled production machinery.
