Senior Building Services Engineer - Electrical

Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Senior Building Services Engineer - Electrical to join our client's team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating the technical and commercial aspects of electrical installations across building services projects. The role involves overseeing electrical design development, cost estimation, procurement, and technical support throughout project execution.

This position requires a technically strong and commercially aware professional who can manage multiple project priorities, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and in line with contractual and technical requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and review electrical system designs, technical drawings, and engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare and review cost estimates, BOQs, material take-offs, and tender documentation, identifying value engineering opportunities.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, review technical submissions, and oversee procurement of electrical equipment and materials.
• Provide technical guidance during project execution, resolving installation issues and coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Mentor junior engineers, review their technical work, and ensure adherence to engineering standards and project requirements.

Key Requirements:

• Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in electrical engineering within building services or MEP projects.
• Proven ability to manage electrical design development, technical coordination, and project execution.
• Experience in cost estimation, BOQs, tender evaluation, procurement, and value engineering.
• Strong understanding of electrical installations, technical specifications, and industry standards.
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
