About the job ISTC | General Instructor

Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a General Instructor to join our client's team.

The General Instructor will deliver training, coaching and mentoring while supervising students throughout their learning experience. The selected candidate will help create a professional, collaborative and inclusive training environment that supports student development.

The role includes managing the operational and administrative aspects of training courses, maintaining high programme standards and ensuring compliance with the organisation’s Quality Management System. The General Instructor will also support the safe operation of the training facility, monitor the condition of training equipment and ensure that students follow all safety procedures.

This position requires flexibility, as training may occasionally be delivered at external locations. The successful candidate must demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and organised within practical and potentially high-risk training environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver, coordinate and supervise training courses while supporting students through coaching and mentoring.
  • Ensure training activities comply with quality procedures, safety protocols, risk assessments and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain high programme standards and contribute to course planning, development and continuous improvement.
  • Support the daily operation, preparation and maintenance of training facilities and equipment.
  • Complete training documentation and assist with additional or off-site training activities when required.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a training environment, preferably in fire and rescue services or a fire training establishment.
  • Relevant qualifications in training and education, health and safety or a related technical field.
  • Knowledge of safety equipment, risk assessments, inspections and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver clear technical instructions.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills and the flexibility to undertake training at external locations.
