Senior Data Scientist

Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Data Scientist to join our client's team.

Overview:
The selected candidate will strengthen the companys advanced analytics capability, working on predictive, structural, and causal models to support strategic and operational decisions. This is a hands-on role focused on building data-driven insights and translating them into clear business recommendations.

Responsibilities:

• Access, assess, prepare, and enrich structured and unstructured datasets from multiple internal and external sources.

• Develop, validate, and optimise time-series, structural, and causal models to forecast outcomes and quantify key drivers.

• Translate analytical findings into actionable insights for commercial and operational stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and effective model deployment.

• Support data-driven decision-making by communicating technical concepts clearly to various business teams.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist in a commercial environment.

• Strong proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and data science methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with time-series modelling, causal inference, and predictive machine learning techniques.

• Excellent command of Python (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, Prophet, etc.) and SQL.

• Experience working with large data-warehouse environments and integrating multiple data sources.
