Senior Electrical Engineer

On behalf of our client, Manpower Malta is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the technical delivery of electrical projects across Malta. This is a hands-on role covering the full project lifecycle, from design and tender preparation through to installation, commissioning, and project handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of electrical engineering projects from design through to commissioning
• Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, BOQs, and technical documentation
• Supervise and mentor engineers and technical staff
• Coordinate electrical systems including LV distribution, lighting, containment, earthing, ELV, and fire detection
• Support tender reviews, cost estimates, and project planning
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and project specifications
• Oversee site installation works, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams

Requirements

• MQF Level 6 qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Warranted Engineer status with the Malta Engineering Board
• Strong knowledge of BS 7671, REWS regulations, and Malta Electricity Supply Regulations
• 7–10 years of experience within the electrical or MEP sector
• Strong knowledge of LV distribution, lighting, containment, earthing, and ELV systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Valid Maltese driving licence

Desirable

• MQF Level 7 qualification (M.Eng. / M.Sc.)
• Experience with MV switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and BMS integration
• Knowledge of solar PV, battery storage, or EV charging infrastructure
• Revit MEP or BIM experience
• Maltese language skills
