Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on AML/CFT, sanctions and financial crime compliance requirements.
  • Draft and review compliance policies, procedures, manuals and regulatory documentation.
  • Support clients during regulatory examinations, remediation projects and supervisory engagements.
  • Monitor Maltese and EU regulatory developments relating to AML, sanctions, beneficial ownership and compliance reporting.
  • Provide guidance to regulated entities including financial institutions, investment firms, funds and corporate service providers.
  • Assist with regulatory research, analysis and client advisory work.

Requirements

  • Qualified Lawyer with a genuine interest in AML, CFT, sanctions and financial crime compliance.
  • Strong legal drafting, research and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and sound professional judgment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Organised, proactive and collaborative approach to work.
  • Experience in AML/CFT, compliance, regulatory affairs, financial services or dealings with regulatory authorities will be considered an asset.
  • Relevant certifications, compliance qualifications or postgraduate studies are advantageous but not essential.
