General Manager

Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a General Manager to join our client's team.

The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the commercial and operational performance of an established business operating within the timber, flooring, apertures, and related building products sector.

The role will be based in Qormi and will involve leading the business through its next phase of development. A key part of the position will be to strengthen the company's internal structure, build an effective team, and ensure that key functions such as sales, purchasing, warehousing, logistics, and customer service operate efficiently.

The General Manager will be expected to take a hands-on leadership approach, combining commercial awareness with strong operational management. The role will also support future business expansion and the integration of additional product lines and activities.

Responsibilities:

• Take overall responsibility for the company's commercial, operational, and financial performance.
• Build, organise, and develop the internal team, introducing clear responsibilities, processes, and performance standards.
• Drive sales and business development while maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors, and business partners.
• Oversee purchasing, warehousing, stock management, logistics, and customer service activities.
• Support future business growth, including the integration of new products, locations, and operational activities.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in a General Manager, Business Unit Manager, Operations Manager, or similar senior leadership role.
• Previous experience within the PVC and/or timber industry is required.
• Strong commercial and operational management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and develop teams and introduce effective internal processes.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to take ownership of business results.
