About the job Group Finance Manager

Manpower Malta  is seeking to recruit a Group Finance Manager to join our clients Accounts Department and the selected candidate shall engage in the below mentioned tasks: 

Financial Reporting, Tax & Analysis:

  • Preparing and reviewing consolidate management accounts on a quarterly basis
  • Facilitating and coordinate group audits, vet financial statements, reviewing audit adjustments and circulating with respective team members and ensuring that the Group ERP faithfully reflects the latest signed Financial Statements.
  • Facilitating and coordinating group income tax compliance and preparing deferred tax computations. 

Financial Strategy, Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Preparing feasibility studies and investment appraisals
  • Leading and overseeing the annual budgeting process, working closely with subsidiary companies and their respective accountants.
  • Providing financial input and analysis to support strategic projects and business initiatives. 

Internal Controls & Compliance:

  • Implementing and maintaining strong internal control systems to safeguard group assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of subsidiary balance sheets as part of the internal audit process.
  • Performing internal audits and ensuring compliance with internal control framework.
  • Reviewing and updating group insurance policies and submitting annual declarations. 

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Managing, mentoring and developing the finance team to ensure high performance and continuous professional growth.
  • Acting as an advisor to subsidiary companies on financial and banking matters. 

Accounting for Subsidiaries:

  • Taking on accounting responsibility for one or more subsidiary companies, preparing management accounts, budgeting, VAT, KPIs and all other financial and accounting activities required to maintain thereof. 

Other:

  • Assisting and/or leading all ERP and BI projects.
  • Implementing and managing finance ESG data capturing and reporting. 

The ideal candidate must:

  • Hold a degree in Accountancy and/or ACCA and must be Warranted;
  • 10+ years in progressive finance roles, with at least 5 years at middle-senior level management;
  • have experience in management reporting, budgeting, financial modelling, consolidations and trade finance;
  • be able to identify issues and develop effective solutions;
  • be competent in Influencing and Impact (including Conflict Management) and Project Management;
  • have excellent communication skills and be fluent in written and spoken English;
  • have strong analytical thinking and problem-solving attitude;
  • be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • be proficient in using Microsoft Dynamics.
