On behalf of our client, Manpower is seeking a skilled Power Plant Electrical Technician to support electrical maintenance and repair operations at power plant facilities.

Job Purpose

To perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on Low and High Voltage electrical systems within power generation plants and subcontracted sites, under the direction of the Power Plant Maintenance Officer Electrical. Work must align with Health & Safety requirements and internal procedures.

Main Duties

1. Fault Identification, Testing & Inspection

  • Diagnose and repair faults, including emergencies.

  • Carry out modifications and updates on electrical equipment.

  • Produce test and inspection reports.

  • Assist with:

    • Testing/calibrating meters, transducers, and relays.

    • Fault simulations and logic system checks.

    • Generator tests and synchronization using specialized software.

    • Identifying problems with cranes, lifts, breakers, starters, etc.

2. Repairs & Maintenance

  • Support in preventive and corrective maintenance of:

    • Switchgear, transformers, starters, protection systems, and relays.

    • Electrical motors, lighting systems, battery banks, and inverters.

    • Electrical parts of mechanical tools and industrial machinery.

3. Installation & Overhauls

  • Assist in installation/assembly of electrical panels and MCCs.

  • Lay and install LV/HV cables, trunking, and cable trays.

Requirements

  • Electrical Technician Certificate or equivalent.

  • Minimum 23 years relevant electrical maintenance experience (power plant experience is an asset).

  • Solid understanding of LV/HV systems and electrical safety standards.

  • Ability to read schematics and use testing/calibration tools.

  • Willingness to work across different sites.

  • Reliable, safety-focused, and organized.
