Job Summary
Manpower is seeking a motivated, responsible and a goal-oriented team player to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively managing communications with vendors, clients, and internal departments. Additionally, you will assist with reconciliations and record maintenance, prepare financial reports as required, execute payment runs, and ensure smooth office operations as directed by the Finance manager. The ideal candidate should demonstrate professionalism and courtesy, possess strong computer skills, and exhibit a thorough understanding of accounting and financial principles.
Responsibilities:
- Performing basic office tasks, such as answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, and filing documents.
- Maintaining an up-to-date and complete database of records.
- Recording information accurately, processing necessary forms, and filing them appropriately.
- Assisting in completing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparing SEPA payment runs in accordance with established procedures.
- Reviewing and posting payments received from clients.
- Supporting the credit control function by assisting in payment chasing activities.
- Updating ledgers, researching discrepancies, and taking necessary steps to resolve them.
- Adhering to all company procedures and accounting principles.
- Responding promptly and professionally to vendor, client, and internal inquiries.
- Assisting with year-end audit requests.
- Providing general office support, including filing and performing any other administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Proficient in computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
- Experience with accounting software packages and proficiency in MS Office is essential.
- Possesses excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Fluent in both Maltese and English languages.
- Requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position.
- Advanced level of accounting knowledge or completion of an equivalent accounting course.
