Associate Fintech & Financial Services Lawyer

On behalf of our client, Manpower Malta is seeking an Associate to join a growing Fintech and Financial Services regulatory practice.
This strategic hire will contribute to the expansion of the firm’s advisory capabilities in digital finance, emerging technologies, and evolving EU regulatory frameworks, including MiCA.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and delivery of the firm’s Fintech and digital assets offering.
• Advise on regulatory matters related to MiCA, CASP licensing, crypto‑asset issuances, stablecoins, digital wallets, and blockchain‑based solutions.
• Assist clients with MFSA licensing, compliance, governance, prudential requirements, and ongoing supervisory obligations.
• Draft and review regulatory documentation, policies, manuals, and internal controls.
• Engage directly with clients in fintech, digital assets, and regulated financial services.
• Contribute to business development, client growth, and thought‑leadership initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified lawyer or experienced practitioner in financial services and fintech regulation.
• Strong knowledge of Maltese and EU regulatory frameworks (MiCA, DORA, PSD2/PSD3, EMD, MiFID II).
• Experience liaising with regulatory authorities such as the MFSA and FIAU.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
• Proactive, commercially minded, and genuinely interested in financial innovation and emerging technologies.
