ELV Technician

Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit an ELV Technician to join our client's team.

The selected candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing commercial fire and security systems. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve faults efficiently.

The ELV Technician will work at different client locations, evaluate technical requirements, and ensure that all systems are installed and commissioned correctly. The role also involves explaining system operations to clients and completing all required service documentation accurately.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair faults affecting commercial fire and security systems.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain system software, hardware, and related technical equipment.
• Conduct site evaluations, identify the equipment required for new installations or system extensions, and prepare accurate reports and site sketches.
• Support the testing and evaluation of new products or systems before they are introduced to the market.
• Commission completed systems, explain their operation to clients, and obtain approval on accurately completed job reports.

Key Requirements:

• Qualification in an electrical subject, preferably an MQF Level 5 Diploma, MQF Level 4 Certificate, MCAST Diploma, or Electrical Licence A.
• Previous experience in servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, or maintaining technical equipment and systems.
• Ability to understand and work from technical diagrams, drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and a professional attitude.
• Excellent written and spoken Maltese and English.
