About the job Business Development Assistant
Responsibilities:
Working on a full-time basis, the chosen candidate will primarily be responsible for:
Administrative Role
- Undertaking daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the senior partner for business development, SP(BD), activities;
- Working under the direction of the SP(BD) but to assist as may be necessary from time to time;
- Participating in the communication of the organization with clients via means like emails, telephones, and websites;
- Performing various tasks, such as but not limited to scheduling and participation in meetings, follow-ups and the like;
- Making use of office software as may be required for the proper execution of these activities;
- Cooperating in a positive manner to the growth of the organization by providing the required assistance to relevant staff and to the organizations senior partners;
Marketing Role
- Supporting marketing strategy and initiatives, and assisting in organizing various marketing projects for the organization;
- Assisting in the organization of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and attending them to facilitate their success;
- Preparing corporate presentations, marketing collateral, and the like;
- Assisting and coordinating the compilation of marketing literature (brochures, press releases etc.) to augment the company's presence in the market
- Preparing and posting online content on the company's website and social media accounts;
- Coordinating marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.);
Commercial Role
- Assisting the Senior Partner with inquiries made by clients about company services in a timely and professional manner;
- Assisting the Senior Partner in the preparation of fee proposals to potential clients;
- Assisting the Senior Partner to make inquiries on small projects and to handle them from start to finish;
- Following up with clients on fee proposals issued by the Senior Partner
- Coordinating client feedback and assisting in compiling client reporting;
- Providing required support to the business development in the wider terms and in activities relating to account management;
- Developing operational contacts, which will provide needed support for the tasks undertaken by the business development team;
- Contribute to the business development systems to ensure things are done accurately;
- Supporting the senior partner for business development in any task or role necessary in the execution of the business development role;
- Developing presentations and/or presentation material and delivering to clients and stakeholders as necessary;
- Assisting in the management and implementation of the company's existing services relevant to its new and projected markets;
- Undertaking business development, company proposal bids and marketing in both existing and new markets;
Requirements
- A Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, or an industry-related discipline, preferably architecture, with a strong academic record. Extensive experience in related disciplines will also be considered;
- You would ideally be cognizant and abreast with all applicable standards, legislations and practices applicable to the construction industry in Malta and internationally, having also technical and commercial acumen of real estate, construction and infrastructure projects;
- You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English;
- You hold a valid driving license;
- You are able to work under pressure and to work closely with others in a multidisciplinary environment;
- You have attention to detail, a meticulous approach, influencing skills, assertiveness and the ability to understand and express technical concepts accurately with confidence and clarity;
- You are analytical and have a measured approach to decision-making, being able to take decisions as and when needed in the interest of efficiency;
- You demonstrate resilience, leadership and negotiation skills;
- You have excellent planning and organisation skills, a high level of integrity and you are a motivated team player demonstrating an eager and positive work ethic;
