Job Description

Manpower Malta is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our client's dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in identifying and addressing various technical faults related to installations, encompassing both mechanical and electrical components. Your responsibilities will extend to conducting repairs, calibrations, and maintenance activities on all facility equipment, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations and the relevant legislative framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Abide by and adhere to all health and safety regulations applicable to the site, equipment as well as others impacting residents, visitors and employees within the facility.
  • Troubleshoot and repair several different systems (both mechanical and electrical) within the facility in a timely manner.
  • Ensure required inspections/ works are in compliance with legislation and technical standards and logged accordingly.
  • Perform basic mechanical skills including but not limited to works related to air-conditioning systems, pumps, filters, plumbing, and basic repair on carpentry.
  • Be responsible for your working tools, workshop tools and equipment within the Village including the spare parts material in the provision of a fully-fledged handy man service delivery.
  • Help the Head of Maintenance in ensuring efficient and transparent management of a maintenance stock system identifying the required minimum stock levels to ensure timely delivery of service.
  • Make technical recommendations to the Head of Maintenance on improvements of facilities and plant equipment (includes energy saving implementation).
  • Ensure utilisation of equipment service manuals, electrical schematics and work orders to perform the required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose faults, replace or repair parts, test and carry out any calibration procedures after repair to ensure fully functionality of the said equipment.
  • Address promptly all residents' complaints and resolve problems as well as oversee the supervision of contractors working on site.
  • Record and log any works/repairs or interventions done in the village as instructed by the Head of Maintenance to ensure fully traceability of works.
  • Ensure that transport vehicles used within the Village will be kept within the recommended manufacturer services intervals and works done in a timely manner to avoid stoppages and prevent breakages.
  • To be on-call on certain days of the month for any emergencies that may occur.
  • Perform maintenance checklist and repairs on any technical equipment both mechanical and electrical as directed by the Head of Maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Licenses A&B
  • Basic knowledge in English language
  • Able to work on their own initiative
  • Previous experience in a similar environment will be considered an asset
  • Sound knowledge in guest room maintenance will be considered an asset
  • Only candidates based in Malta will be considered
