Financial Accountant

We're seeking a self-motivated individual with the capacity to work independently and with minimal supervision for the position of Financial Accountant. This role entails working alongside the Finance Reporting team under the supervision of the Finance Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing month-end journal entries for cost of sales and operational expenses, maintaining accruals and prepayment schedules, and conducting intercompany reconciliations.
• Assisting with uploading monthly revenue bill runs onto the accounting system.
• Reconciling infrastructure project costs and explaining variances to budget and previous periods.
• Reviewing, preparing, and maintaining monthly management accounts.
• Managing the monthly group consolidation and shareholders reporting template.
• Overseeing quarterly bank reporting, including performance commentary.
• Assisting with interim and year-end audit procedures and annual financial statement preparation.
• Collaborating with auditors as needed.
• Supporting Finance Manager and Financial Controller on various tasks.

Job Requirements:

• Possession of a university degree in Accounting or ACCA equivalent.
• Proficiency in IFRS.
• Strong skills in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
