Job Openings .NET Developer

About the job .NET Developer

Manpower is seeking to recruit a .NET Developer to join our client's team. A professional who's ready to take the next step in their career. If you're technically strong in .NET, enjoy collaborating with others, and feel you have what it takes to guide a small team even if you haven't officially led one before, we want to meet you.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in software development who's eager to grow into a technical leadership position, with mentorship and support along the way.

Overview

Youll be joining a product-driven team working on business-critical applications in retail and healthcare including Point of Sale systems and patient record modules. While much of our current stack is based on VB.NET, all new development is moving to C# and modern .NET, with a gradual shift toward a cloud-native Azure infrastructure.
We're looking for someone who's confident writing clean, maintainable code, but who also wants to take ownership, support other developers, and coordinate the technical side of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and maintain .NET applications both existing systems in VB.NET and new features in C# using .NET 6/7+.
  • Take the lead on feature planning and coordinate development efforts across the team.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable development tasks.
  • Help guide the teams code quality, standards, and practices (with support you wont be left alone!).
  • Support the team through code reviews, testing, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to our migration to Azure, participating in cloud deployments and infrastructure improvements.
  • Participate in planning, daily standups, and technical reviews.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software development with .NET (VB.NET and C#).
  • Comfortable taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion.
  • Experience with ASP.NET Web API, .NET Framework, and modern C# development.
  • Solid understanding of MS SQL Server and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, application hosting on IIS, and basic DevOps workflows.
  • Clear communicator with a proactive attitude and team-first mentality.
  • Some exposure to cloud services (Azure preferred) or interest in learning fast.

Nice to Have (Optional but Beneficial)

  • Youve helped mentor or support junior developers informally.
  • Youve worked on migration projects (e.g., VB.NET to C# or on-prem to cloud).
  • Experience with Azure App Services, Blob Storage, or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with healthcare or retail systems is a plus.
  • What We Offer
  • A chance to step into a technical lead role and grow your leadership skills with ongoing support
  • and mentorship.
  • Real impact on live systems used in healthcare and retail environments.
  • A collaborative, product-driven team with flexibility and autonomy.
  • Opportunity to learn Azure cloud technologies and modern software architecture.
