SUMMARY

Manpower is seegking to recruit an IT Project Coordinator, reporting to the Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of our client ICT Department, contributing to the delivery of the Bank's Project Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

As an IT Project Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate project management activities and resources.
  • Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes.
  • Liaise with other staff members to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives.
  • Identify inefficiencies with project resources and assist with resource management as needed.
  • Ensure to keep the project within scope while adapting to the changing business needs throughout the project's lifetime.
  • Ensure that the projects are handed over to IT Operational functions in proper timeframes and with well-comprehensive documentation.
  • Help prepare budgets and handle invoices.
  • Analyse risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor project progress and notify and escalate any issues that arise to help remove any project blockers.
  • Act as a point of contact and communicate project status as required to project members.
  • Work with Project Members to eliminate any blocking issues during the project.
  • Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures.
  • Coordinate the reviews and approval of the Projects legal paperwork (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement).
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
  • Coordinate testing and actively monitor and report the progress of testing.
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met.
  • Plan and assist migrations with the help of the Data Team as required.
  • Hand over project results, draw up the final project report and follow up on any open issues.
  • Coordinate with Vendors/ Suppliers during the complete life cycle of the project.
  • Be able to converse and discuss technical project aspects with the technical teams with regard to interfaces, development, databases, and security.
  • Lead smaller projects, project sub-tasks and actively involved in the planning of system updates of implemented projects.
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Independently manage and execute small projects as assigned.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies.

Skills and Capabilities Required

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or management information systems from an accredited college or university or a comparable vocational or technical education.
  • Two years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role in an IT environment.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (such as Microsoft Project and JIRA) and project methodologies (Agile and Waterfall).
  • Presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks/projects.
  • Knowledge of financial industry and related best practices is a plus.
