A leading manufacturing business is seeking a Machinist to join its production operations team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for technically minded individuals who enjoy working with machinery, production processes, and equipment maintenance. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment within a structured production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery in line with established procedures.
• Carry out quality control checks and complete required operational documentation.
• Perform routine machinery maintenance and assist with equipment upkeep.
• Support fault-finding and troubleshooting activities to minimise production downtime.
• Assist with planned maintenance, machinery overhauls, and technical interventions.
• Carry out product quality checks according to operational standards.
• Contribute to the efficient running of production processes.

Requirements

• O-Level standard of education.
• ECDL certification or equivalent computer literacy.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Good communication skills in both English and Maltese.
• Flexible and willing to learn and operate different machinery.
• Able to work on a shift basis, including night shifts.
• Previous manufacturing or machinery experience will be considered an advantage.
