On behalf of our client, Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Junior Lawyer.

The selected candidate will support the legal, corporate, and compliance functions of the organisation on a variety of matters, with a particular focus on corporate services, employment law, and compliance. This role offers hands-on experience, direct involvement in ongoing legal matters, and the opportunity to grow within a dynamic and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support on corporate, commercial, employment, compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Assist with the drafting, review, negotiation, and maintenance of legal, corporate, and transactional documentation.
  • Support corporate services activities, including company incorporations, corporate restructurings, statutory filings, maintenance of company records, and ongoing corporate administration.
  • Assist with corporate governance matters, including the preparation of board minutes, shareholder resolutions, powers of attorney, and other corporate documents.
  • Advise on employment law matters, including employment agreements, HR policies, disciplinary procedures, termination procedures, and regulatory obligations.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, reports, summaries, and internal memoranda.
  • Support compliance and regulatory reviews, including AML/CFT documentation, due diligence processes, and internal compliance procedures.
  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal and regulatory risks.
  • Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, external legal counsel, and other stakeholders on legal, corporate, and compliance matters.
  • Support litigation and dispute resolution matters, including the preparation of legal documentation and coordination with external parties where required.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in Malta and the EU and provide updates on their potential impact on the business and its clients.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal, corporate, and compliance processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Degree in Law and warrant to practise in Malta.
  • Fluency in Maltese and English, both written and spoken.
  • Minimum of 1 year PQE in corporate and commercial law.
  • Experience in corporate services, compliance, employment law, yachting, aviation, or other regulated sectors will be considered an asset.
  • Sound understanding of Maltese corporate and employment legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Professional, proactive, and client-oriented approach.
