About the job Head of Transformation
Head of Transformation
Reports to: CTO
The Head of Transformation turns IT strategy into real, working outcomes.
You sit between Architecture, Demand, and Delivery, making sure ideas are practical, buildable, well‑defined, and delivered efficiently.
Your focus is to modernise legacy systems, simplify the technology landscape, improve how work flows into development, and remove friction across teams.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Bridge Strategy to Delivery
- Turn architecture designs into clear, build‑ready plans
- Ensure solutions are supportable by L2 before go‑live
- Lead modernisation of legacy applications while keeping services running
Improve How We Deliver
- Own and improve the SDLC and release processes
- Remove bottlenecks between Dev, Infra, and Support
- Introduce automation to speed up testing and releases
Improve Demand Quality
- Ensure requirements are clear, feasible, and testable before development
- Define quality gates (e.g. Definition of Ready / Done)
- Reduce rework, defects, and late surprises
Cross‑Team Coordination
- Lead technical handovers from Analysis to Development
- Ensure environments (Dev, UAT, Prod) support delivery needs
Simplify Technology
- Identify systems and tools to retain, retire, replace, or re‑platform
- Lead consolidation and migration initiatives
- Reduce cost, complexity, and operational risk
Quality & Performance
- Track delivery health (speed, defects, releases)
- Step in when trends slip and fix the root cause
What We're Looking For
- A seasoned IT professional with experience across analysis, development, or delivery
- Strong background in application modernisation and re‑architecture
- Deep understanding of SDLCs, architecture, and operating models
- Experience improving upstream quality (requirements, testing readiness)
- Confident influencer who gets things done without relying on hierarchy
