Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Fleet, Tools and Facility Manager to join our client's team.

The selected candidate will manage and optimise the organisation’s fleet, operational equipment, technical assets, and facilities. The role is responsible for ensuring that vehicles, machinery, workshops, warehouses, dry docks, and supporting infrastructure remain available, efficient, safe, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

The Fleet, Tools and Facility Manager will coordinate maintenance activities, monitor asset performance and operating costs, manage external contractors, and support operational teams with the resources required to complete projects successfully. This position requires strong technical knowledge, planning ability, and experience working in a dynamic industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the company fleet, including vehicles, forklifts, aerial platforms, cranes, and specialised equipment, while monitoring utilisation, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, insurance, and documentation.
  • Ensure the availability and reliability of tools and production equipment by coordinating maintenance, inspections, calibrations, certifications, inventory control, and replacement plans.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and operation of dry docks, pumps, valves, dock gates, buildings, workshops, warehouses, offices, and other operational facilities.
  • Ensure assets and facilities comply with health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements, supporting audits and statutory inspections.
  • Support Project Managers and Operations Management with resource planning, equipment allocation, contractor management, and asset transfers between operational locations.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Naval Engineering, Facility Management, or a related technical discipline; candidates with a technical diploma and significant experience may also be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management, industrial asset management, facility management, or maintenance management.
  • Previous experience within shipbuilding, ship repair, industrial manufacturing, plant maintenance, or large-scale infrastructure operations is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance management, asset lifecycle planning, industrial equipment, budgeting, cost control, and contractor management.
  • Proficiency in CMMS, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office, combined with strong leadership, organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
