My client, a leading 5-star resort in Malta, is looking for an IT Operations & Systems Officer to join their team and play a vital role in ensuring technology supports an exceptional guest and employee experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide on-site IT support to Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Spa, Reservations, and other departments.
  • Troubleshoot and support key hotel systems, including PMS, POS, key card systems, guest Wi-Fi, and in-room entertainment platforms.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and network connections.
  • Respond efficiently to IT support requests and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Perform routine system checks, preventative maintenance, and monitor system performance.
  • Escalate complex technical issues when required while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Maintain IT documentation, hardware inventories, and asset management records.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support business-critical systems when necessary.
  • Work closely with operational departments to enhance efficiency and user experience through technology.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an IT Support, IT Operations, or Systems Administration role.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Microsoft Windows environments
    • Microsoft 365 Administration
    • Active Directory
    • Networking fundamentals
    • Business applications and end-user support
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with wider teams.
  • Good command of English.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • CCNA certification is highly desirable, although strong hands-on networking experience will also be considered.
