Senior Finance & Compliance (F&C) Manager

Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Senior Finance & Compliance Manager to join our client's team.

The successful candidate will take a leading role within the Finance function, overseeing financial control, statutory and regulatory compliance, treasury operations, taxation planning and project accounting. This is a senior position requiring strong technical accounting expertise, commercial awareness and the ability to lead and develop a finance team. The role will also support senior management in safeguarding the Company's assets, strengthening internal controls and managing financial and compliance-related risks.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the Company's financial control framework, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards and effective internal controls.
• Lead the Company's taxation strategy, manage tax-related activities and identify opportunities to optimise the Company's tax position and available incentives.
• Manage treasury operations, including cash flow controls, banking relationships, foreign exchange exposure, hedging, financing, credit risk and investment activities.
• Oversee project accounting, ensuring project expenditure and actual returns are monitored against approved feasibility studies, budgets and expected returns.
• Lead and develop the Finance & Compliance team, assigning and reviewing work, supporting performance management and strengthening succession planning.

Key Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Accountancy, B.Com. (Hons) in Accountancy, ACCA qualification or equivalent, together with Chartered/Warranted Accountant status.
• Minimum 9 years of overall finance experience, including at least 5 years in a Finance Manager-level position.
• Strong experience within the FMCG sector is highly preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of financial management, management accounting, taxation, regulatory compliance, risk management and profitability analysis.
• Proven leadership skills combined with strong strategic thinking, analytical ability, business acumen, stakeholder management and problem-solving capabilities.
