Electrical Technician

Our client, a leading provider of advanced power generation and industrial engine solutions, is seeking a skilled Electronic Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience servicing and troubleshooting diesel and gas engine electronic systems in marine, power generation, or industrial applications.

Role Overview:
The Electronic Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing electronic control systems, sensors, and wiring harnesses on high-performance engines. The role combines technical expertise with practical problem-solving in a hands-on, customer-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform setup, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic components and systems.

• Install, connect, and terminate control cables, and service engine electronics.

• Read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to understand systems.

• Diagnose electronic problems using voltmeters, cable testers, thermal scanners, and other tools.

• Adjust, repair, or replace defective circuitry and components.

• Prepare sketches and documentation of findings and service reports.

• Provide technical support and customer service, including installations and routine maintenance.

• Travel abroad for training or on-site service as required.

• Contribute to team objectives and perform other tasks as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

• Technical diploma or associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.

• Minimum 3 years experience as an electronic or electrical technician, ideally with high-performance diesel/gas engines.

• Proficient with diagnostic tools, soldering, and rework techniques.

• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and service manuals.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
