Our client, a leading provider of advanced power generation and industrial engine solutions, is seeking a skilled Electronic Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience servicing and troubleshooting diesel and gas engine electronic systems in marine, power generation, or industrial applications.
Role Overview:
The Electronic Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing electronic control systems, sensors, and wiring harnesses on high-performance engines. The role combines technical expertise with practical problem-solving in a hands-on, customer-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform setup, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic components and systems.

Install, connect, and terminate control cables, and service engine electronics.

Read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to understand systems.

Diagnose electronic problems using voltmeters, cable testers, thermal scanners, and other tools.

Adjust, repair, or replace defective circuitry and components.

Prepare sketches and documentation of findings and service reports.

Provide technical support and customer service, including installations and routine maintenance.

Travel abroad for training or on-site service as required.

Contribute to team objectives and perform other tasks as needed.
Candidate Requirements:

Technical diploma or associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.

Minimum 3 years experience as an electronic or electrical technician, ideally with high-performance diesel/gas engines.

Proficient with diagnostic tools, soldering, and rework techniques.

Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and service manuals.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
