AML Manager

On behalf of one of our clients, we are looking for an AML Compliance Manager for the growing team. 

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented compliance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about safeguarding organizational integrity through robust AML frameworks and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee client onboarding and ongoing monitoring processes, ensuring compliance with AML/CFT regulations.
• Conduct and approve Customer Risk Assessments (CRAs) and review team outputs, including identity verification, beneficial ownership, and source of funds/wealth.
• Monitor transaction activity and prepare compliance reports for internal audits, regulatory inspections, and board meetings.
• Liaise with internal departments and regulatory bodies to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain and update AML policies, handbooks, and internal registers through AML software.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs for staff.
• Advise senior leadership on regulatory matters and contribute to governance, risk, and compliance strategies.
• Supervise and mentor the compliance team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Law, Criminology, Banking, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar AML compliance role.
• Exposure to corporate service provider, tax, or audit environments considered an asset.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders.
• Thorough understanding of Maltas AML/CFT regulatory framework, preferably within corporate service providers, tax, or audit sectors.
• Proactive mindset with a commitment to maintaining high compliance standards.
