Lifestyle Journalist

Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Lifestyle Journalist to join our client's team. This role is ideal for a dynamic and digitally savvy journalist who understands how modern storytelling blends editorial credibility, social media awareness and engaging digital formats.

The selected candidate will contribute to lifestyle, travel and entertainment coverage by creating compelling written content, interviews and digital-first stories. Working closely with editorial and creative teams, the role involves developing engaging stories that resonate with a diverse audience interested in dining, events, hospitality, culture and experiences.

The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling and has a strong interest in lifestyle topics such as food, travel, entertainment and culture. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced digital environment and capable of adapting content for multiple formats, including written articles, social media posts and video content.

This role also offers opportunities to attend events, launches and media previews, while contributing to the development of engaging lifestyle content aimed at a broad audience of locals and visitors.

Responsibilities:

Produce engaging lifestyle, travel and entertainment articles covering dining, hospitality, events and curated experiences
Conduct interviews with industry professionals including restaurateurs, chefs, entrepreneurs and creatives
Contribute to video-first content formats such as short-form interviews and social media reels
Write engaging captions and adapt editorial content for social media platforms
Develop SEO-driven evergreen content to support digital visibility and search performance

Key Requirements:

Strong writing and storytelling skills
Good understanding of digital media and social media platforms
Confident interviewer with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable appearing on camera when required
Organised, proactive and able to manage deadlines effectively
