Job Openings Head of Sales – Luxury & Wellness

About the job Head of Sales – Luxury & Wellness

Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Head of Sales to join our client's team.

The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of a global commercial strategy combining ultra-luxury hospitality with premium wellness experiences. This senior leadership role requires extensive knowledge of international luxury travel markets, wellness tourism, revenue management, and strategic partnership development.

The selected professional will be responsible for positioning the property within leading luxury and wellness travel networks while developing high-value business from travel advisors, corporate clients, wellness professionals, retreat organisers, and high-net-worth individuals. The role also involves transforming complex wellness concepts into clear and persuasive commercial propositions for international markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a global luxury and wellness sales strategy covering premium travel, wellness retreats, practitioner-led experiences, corporate wellbeing programmes, and group business.
  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships with international luxury travel agencies, consortia, wellness networks, advisors, influencers, and high-value clients.
  • Lead sales planning for wellness packages, annual retreat programmes, visiting-practitioner residencies, and other premium experiences.
  • Manage sales budgets, forecasting, commercial performance, pace reporting, ADR growth, RevPAR improvement, and rate integrity across all booking channels.
  • Represent the property at international luxury travel fairs, wellness exhibitions, conferences, and industry roadshows while collaborating internally on commercial narratives and value propositions.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven senior-level commercial and sales experience within luxury hospitality, with direct responsibility for generating room revenue, increasing occupancy and supporting ADR and RevPAR growth.
  • Strong knowledge of the luxury wellness market and the ability to commercially position and sell wellness packages, retreats, visiting-practitioner programmes and holistic wellness experiences. A formal wellness qualification or operational experience as a Wellness Director is not required.
  • An established network of luxury travel advisors and consortia, with evidence of using these relationships to generate high-value bookings and revenue.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in hospitality, including significant senior-level experience in luxury hotel sales and commercial development.
  • Demonstrable experience selling both luxury accommodation and value-added experiences, rather than solely designing spa treatments, wellness menus or guest journeys.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous commercial exposure to wellness-led hotels, retreats, longevity clinics or properties offering holistic or medical wellness programmes.
  • Experience within Mediterranean luxury hospitality, ideally in a boutique property operating to Forbes-level standards or pursuing Michelin-level positioning.
  • Familiarity with functional or medical wellness services, including IV therapy, would be advantageous but is not essential.
