Shop Attendant - Gozo

We are currently recruiting Shop Assistants on behalf of our client in Gozo.

If you are a customer-focused individual with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering excellent service, this could be the opportunity for you. The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting customers, replenishing stock, maintaining store presentation standards, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the outlet.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner

• Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately

• Stack and replenish shelves with confectionery products

• Ensure displays are neat, attractive, and fully stocked

• Receive deliveries and lift/move boxes of stock (up to 20kg])

• Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation (FIFO method)

• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the shop

• Support promotional displays and seasonal product setups

• Follow health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• Previous retail or cashier experience preferred but not essential

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Basic numeracy skills for handling cash transactions

• Ability to lift and move stock safely

• Reliable, punctual, and well-presented

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
