HR Business Partner – Lead | Strategic HR Leadership Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a well-established organisation seeking an experienced HR professional to take ownership of the people function within a key business unit. This role offers the chance to shape and drive HR strategy across recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, talent development, succession planning, wellbeing initiatives, and reward programmes while acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and offboarding.
  • Provide strategic HR guidance and support to senior operational leaders.
  • Manage employee relations matters, disciplinary procedures, and compliance with Maltese employment legislation.
  • Develop and implement initiatives focused on employee wellbeing, recognition, engagement, and talent acquisition.
  • Lead succession planning activities and support workforce continuity.
  • Conduct turnover analysis and exit interview reviews, implementing improvements where needed.
  • Mentor and develop a small HR team while contributing to wider organisational HR projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience, including people management responsibilities.
  • Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Maltese employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Experience in recruitment, performance management, employee development, and workforce planning.
  • Ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders and influence business decisions.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and prioritisation skills.
