AML & Compliance Manager

Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit an AML & Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our client's team.

The AML & Regulatory Compliance Manager will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the firm's AML/CFT and regulatory compliance framework, while supporting the effective management of compliance risks. Working closely with senior management and relevant internal teams, the role will contribute to ensuring that regulatory obligations are met and that strong standards of compliance, ethical conduct and risk awareness are maintained across the organisation.

This role would suit an experienced AML and regulatory compliance professional with strong analytical, investigative and stakeholder management skills, who is comfortable working independently while also leading and supporting a compliance team.

Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation, maintenance and continuous enhancement of the AML/CFT, sanctions and financial crime compliance framework.
• Oversee onboarding, risk assessments, ongoing monitoring, reviews, investigations, remediation and customer offboarding in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Review higher-risk and complex cases, oversee transaction monitoring and screening activities, and ensure appropriate escalation of financial crime matters.
• Lead and develop the AML team, allocating workloads and providing technical guidance, coaching and support.
• Support compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting, management information, audits, inspections, training and the implementation of regulatory changes.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Compliance, Law, Finance, Business, Risk Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in AML and regulatory compliance within financial services.
• Experience preparing Board and regulatory reports.
• Excellent analytical, investigative, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
