Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Health & Safety and Facilities Coordinator to join our client's team.

The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day health and safety coordination while supporting the effective management and physical upkeep of office and site facilities. This role combines compliance, administration, contractor coordination, and facilities management, requiring a proactive individual who can ensure safety requirements are followed while keeping building operations running smoothly. The position involves regular collaboration with Health & Safety Competent Persons, Heads of Department, contractors, and suppliers across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate risk assessments, method statements, toolbox talks, safety briefings, training records, PPE registers, incident reporting, and other H&S documentation across departments and projects.
  • Lead and support internal and external H&S audits, statutory inspections, fire drills, compliance activities, and the follow-up of corrective actions through to completion.
  • Monitor departmental and contractor compliance with health and safety requirements, escalating outstanding or non-compliant matters when necessary.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and upkeep of offices and sites, including air conditioning, lifts, plumbing, electrical systems, access control, minor works, and emergency preparedness.
  • Support facilities contractors and suppliers, asset records, maintenance budgets, office moves, space planning, and general facilities operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Recognised health and safety qualification and good knowledge of Maltese health and safety obligations.
  • Previous experience coordinating building facilities operations, maintenance activities, contractors, or suppliers.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple compliance deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and communicate effectively with different departments and stakeholders.
  • Experience within construction, engineering, facilities management, or multi-site environments is considered an advantage; knowledge of Maltese building/fire regulations or Maltese language skills would also be beneficial.
