On behalf of our client, Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic and growing engineering team. The selected candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, coordination, and execution of mechanical building services projects, ensuring technical excellence and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare material quantity calculations, cost analyses, and resource estimates for ongoing and upcoming projects;
  • Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, project budgets, engineering documentation, and procurement plans;
  • Conduct site inspections and technical assessments to support project planning and execution;
  • Design, evaluate, and support the implementation of HVAC and other mechanical systems in commercial and industrial environments;
  • Coordinate with local and international suppliers to source materials, equipment, and technical solutions;
  • Provide technical guidance on installation methods, maintenance requirements, and operational performance of mechanical systems;
  • Support procurement activities by preparing purchase requests and monitoring material requirements;
  • Monitor project progress through regular site visits, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project timelines;
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to review and implement design modifications when required;
  • Assist site teams during installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities;
  • Prepare project reports, technical summaries, and progress updates for management review;
  • Contribute to the development of junior technical staff by sharing knowledge and supporting training initiatives;
  • Stay informed about industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices within the mechanical engineering sector.

Requirements

  • A qualification in Mechanical Engineering at MQF Level 6 or equivalent;
  • Solid understanding of mechanical building services and HVAC systems;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer literacy;
  • Experience using AutoCAD or similar engineering design software will be considered an asset;
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure;
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities;
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
