About the job JUNIOR ASSOCIATE LAWYER - CORPORATE & COMMERCIAL
As an Associate Lawyer within Corporate and Commercial, you will be expected to handle a wide range of related responsibilities, including corporate mergers, asset and share sales and acquisitions, corporate finance, joint ventures and commercial contracts.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing legal and business advisory services to clients, ensuring their best interests are met in line with the Firm’s high standards of practice
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements and documentation
- Liaise and advise clients on a wide range of areas, including but not limited to corporate transactions and high-value cross-border M&A transactions, competition law matters, and merger control filings
- Participate in client meetings, preparing documentation, and managing follow-up actions
- Maintain proactive awareness of ongoing matters, deadlines, and client needs, ensuring the Managing Associate and department team are always supported with timely, accurate information
- Contributing to the development of the Firm’s expertise and reputation in Corporate and Commercial related legal areas, while supporting business development efforts
- Promoting a collaborative, team-oriented environment in line with the Firm’s core values
Requirements:
- A Degree in Law
- A minimum of two years’ experience in Corporate and Commercial law, or a related area
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills
- Strong drafting and research ability, adaptable across multiple practice areas
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to maintain composure in a demanding and fast-paced environment
- The ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet tight deadlines effectively
