Designation: - Manager Export

JOB PURPOSE:-

An export manager serves as intermediary between foreign buyers and domestic sellers. Unlike trading companies who buy the products before selling directly to foreign buyers, export managers find buyers internationally for a domestic manufacturer that employ them. Export managers handle areas of global business such as sales, logistics, and compliance. They are responsible for the logistics of getting the goods to the purchaser in another country and for ensuring the goods meet the required standards of the importing country.

Job description:-

  • Pre and Post shipment documents for export.
  • Scrutinizing L/cs received from foreign buyers and seeking amendment if any
  • Knowledge of online process of Certificate of Origin / GSP etc.
  • Knowledge of various schemes in export.
  • Follow-up with the plants, Warehouse for the Timely & accurate execution of Orders.
  • Co-ordination with Bank for L/C, Discrepancy solving etc.
  • Co-ordination with Customs House agent / Forwarders & shipping Lines, for arranging the containers for dispatch and also timely customs clearance.
  • Co-ordination with Transporter for trailer.
  • Timely Coordination with international customer / internal customer for execution of export order.
  • Advising shipment details by email / non-negotiable documents to overseas agents / customers.
  • Logisitcs complaint handling investigation report, CAPA etc.
  • Insurance claim process.
  • Freight negotiations for various sectors for both air and sea.
  • Checking freight and clearance bills and per the standard protocol and make related entries in SAP.
  • Provide daily/monthly MIS reports
  • Knowledge of SAP / SAP Project implementation
  • Responsible for all documentation and operation activity of Pre shipment & post shipment for both sea & Air, LCL & FCL & insure seedy clearance.
  • Shipping bill filing process, e sanchit as per import export policy with correct HS code & ensure the eligibility of Govt incentives as per applicable norms.
  • Aware of all schemes (EPCG ,EOU, Advance license, Duty drawback, section 69 & 74 etc) & update the guideline on correct & error free documents.
  • Take full responsibilities and end to end ownership of customers shipment & issues.
  • Work independently and assist the team in realizing goals and standards share knowledge and best practices.
  • Focus on all aspects of customer satisfactions & develops positives relationship with clients
  • Update the customer with DSR on the shipments.
  • Procedure of applying VGM & Form 13 in Odex system
  • Developing new customer & maintain cordial relationship with client & if any query raise should be having capability to resolve promptly.
  • Prepare exports strategies and planning to ensure sustainability and growth in global markets, also execution of planning to ensure timely delivery of the overseas consignment.
  • Ensure identifying new business opportunities across the globe and should have proper knowledge of domestic as well as international marketing and strategies.
  • Monitored profitability of export business
  • Should have handled distributors and key retailers in important markets like Middle East, Africa, South East Asia, SAARC.
  • Experience of going to various trade shows like Middle east, Europe, South East Asia and USA and travelled to meet distributors and key retailers.
  • Coordinate with production and logistic department to ensure timely export shipments
  • To take initiative and efforts to develop constructive and effective solutions to any issues that slow down or hamper the export procedures and activities

Desired Candidate Profile:-

  • Must have strong B2B experience, instrumental in setting up export & scaling up international business market, Vendor Management, Relationship Management, and Dealer Distribution Management
  • The candidate should be an energetic effective, self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills who is able to excel in an international sales environment.
  • Overseas travelling experience.

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ yrs. of work experience in Export Sales
  • Any graduate/Post Graduate with computer proficiency
