#11 - Senior Backend Developer (Python & Django)

The Role

You will be the technical reference for the development team. You'll combine hands-on backend work (Django/Python) with architecture decisions alongside the CTO, and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Backend development with Django and Python (REST APIs, integrations, microservices)
• Code reviews and technical mentorship
• Participate in tech due diligence for portfolio companies
• Collaborate on architecture and technical decisions with the CTO.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional backend development experience with Python/Django
• Solid experience with Docker and Docker Compose in production
• Linux administration skills (basic server management)
• Active use of AI development tools: Cursor, Claude, Antigravity, Copilot, or similar
• Technical leadership ability and communication skills with non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and Ansible
• CI/CD pipeline management in GitLab
• Cloud server administration (Hetzner, Azure, or AWS)
• Cybersecurity knowledge (NIS2, zero-trust)
• Angular experience (to understand the team's frontend)
• Background in consulting or multi-company environments
