Camera Image Tuning Engineer - Portal

Tune image processing pipelines for cameras in Facebook Portal Products.

Work with external vendors as well as internal teams including hardware, systems and software to successfully deliver best in class imaging solutions.

Act on image quality feedback and make tuning changes to achieve continuous quality improvements.

Execute image quality lab and field tests of camera systems.

Communicate status regularly with clear articulation of tuning improvements along the way.

B.S. or greater in image processing, color science, electrical engineering, computer science or related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3+ years of experience in camera tuning, color imaging, or image processing.

Knowledge of image processing functions and image signal processors.

Hands-on experience with ISP tuning, knowledge in ISP algorithms and tuning parameters.

Hands-on experience with camera 3A tuning (auto exposure, auto white balance and auto focus).

Experience with image quality evaluation and tools such as Imatest or DXO.

Experience with lab equipment for camera measurement and testing.

M.S. or greater in image processing, color science, electrical engineering, computer science or related fields.

Knowledge of objective and subjective image quality evaluation metrics, familiar with ISO and/or CPIQ standards.

Has worked on commercially available products for which the engineer has made contributions to the camera tuning.
