Translate Vision to a Specified Roadmap

  • Creation of rolling 4 quarter product and solution roadmap, tied to Apcela vision, differentiation, business personas, etc.
  • Systemic revisions to roadmap, as required and dictated by market needs, strategy, customer requirements, etc.
  • Solutioning support (with right person, perhaps outright ownership of sales solutioning - while we’re still small)
  • Roadmap includes solutions/product configurations, as well as “concept of operations” required to support at scale (roadmap for run-time operations)

Product/Solution Development, Execution and Delivery

  • Owns development and go-to-market methodology which ensures delivery of roadmap components on time, on budget, in keeping with value proposition
  • Development methodology: Agile to “test/dev” … must be expert level in agile development methodologies, processes, and requisite program management
  • Go-to-Market Methodology: “Pragmatic Marketing” (or similar approach) which ensures milestone-based delivery of key roadmap components, signed off and agreed by sales, marketing, finance, etc.
  • Proven track record in …
  • Solutions and product development, utilizing methodologies outlined above
  • On-time/on-budget (or better) delivery of roadmaps in a scaled, high-growth environment
  • Technical and commercial acceptance demonstrated
  • Technical: patents, certified development expertise, etc.
  • Commercial: revenue track record from product release to maturity
  • Team builder - ability to manage diverse development talent (skill sets, geographies, in-house vs 3rd parties) and to work cross-functionally (sales and marketing in particular); ideally, can field appropriate team quickly

Network Engineering and Architecture

  • Establish path to software-based network (migration from physical to SaaS underlying architecture)
  • Own migration plan from physical to software-based
  • Managed, maintain current network for LCM (life-cycle management)
  • With operations and sales, develop top [10] customer-specific migration plan as need arises
