About the job CFO

The opportunity:


As CFO, you will have overall responsibility for the finance function. You will have experience in all aspects of finance including internal and external reporting, tax, cashflow management, budgeting, financial analysis and compliance.

 

You will partner the CEO, COO and other members of the executive team in formulating the company's strategic business plans to support the liquidity event goal in 2020 (incorporating sales plans, product plans, company valuation model, action items and KPIs).

The position is based at our head office in North Sydney.

 

Key responsibilities:


  • Proactively lead M&A opportunities, negotiation, due diligence, execution and post-acquisition integration
  • Monitor and direct the implementation of the strategic business plans and the development and execution of supporting tactical initiatives
  • Manage the end-to-end finance function of the business, including relationships with external auditors, tax and insurance providers
  • Support the business by providing commercial/financial support for new business proposals, RFPs and supplier negotiations
  • Add significant value by improving systems, processes and associated management frameworks 
  • Commercial analysis and all relevant financial reporting to the CEO and Board including managing the capital, budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Provide support for investor relations activities and communications
  • Effectively lead and mentor the Finance team

 

Key skills and attributes:


  • CA / CPA 10 years post qualification experience
  • Experience with M&A, IPO activities
  • Ability to synthesize complex priorities and present actionable options while motivating excellence across teams
  • Passion for delivering services that have global impact
  • Excellence in communications (verbal, written and asynchronous communications across globally dispersed teams)
  • Experience in partnering with a CEO and executive team ideally in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high growth environment
  • Demonstrable skills - leadership, motivation, commercial, hands-on, flexible
  • Flexibility to work/travel to support global operations (24/7/365)
