Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our web applications by planning, designing, and executing comprehensive testing activities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify defects early, improve product quality, and deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, usability, and exploratory testing.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using Jira or similar tools.
  • Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
  • Review product requirements and provide feedback on quality risks and testability.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers throughout the SDLC.
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.
  • Execute database validation using SQL.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
  • Continuously improve QA processes, testing methodologies, and documentation.
  • Prepare test reports and communicate testing progress to stakeholders.
  • Ensure software meets quality standards before production deployment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • Experience testing web-based applications.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with defect management tools such as Jira.
  • Experience with API testing.
  • Basic SQL knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISTQB Foundation Certification.
  • Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar automation frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Git.
  • Experience testing cloud-based applications.
  • Experience working in SaaS environments.
