Position Summary
As a Renewable Energy & Sustainability Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the design and delivery of high-impact energy and electrification projects. Youll collaborate closely with internal teams and clients, applying your engineering and analytical skills to drive innovative, efficient, and sustainable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth project analyses, assess performance metrics, evaluate configuration options, and explore alternative solutions.
- Identify and evaluate project risks within Summations defined scope of services.
- Lead the design, development, and execution of renewable energy, battery storage, and fleet electrification projects.
- Optimize engineering and consulting processes by streamlining templates and workflows.
- Utilize data analysis to address complex engineering design challenges and deliver effective solutions.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams, seeking guidance and support from Directors as needed.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand and address their energy and sustainability goals.
- Actively pursue professional growth and contribute to team development through continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
- Monitor emerging trends, innovations, and best practices in sustainable building and renewable energy, incorporating them into project work.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE), environmental protocols, and vehicle usage guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support broader team and company objectives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in renewable energy systems, battery storage, and/or electrification projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in data analysis tools preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to sustainability, innovation, and professional growth.
- Familiarity with HSSE and environmental compliance standards is a plus.
