About the job Transport Administrator
Scope:
Responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient management and reporting of the Company’s transport network
Key Accountabilities:
Daily communication with external carriers regarding delivery times, complaints, updates via telecommunication or carrier portals, etc
Daily communication with internal staff requires time-sensitive updates
Escalate issues as required to ensure they are resolved expeditiously
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders
Maintain Excel data files with new carrier details, i.e., fuel levies, rates, and delivery schedules - as required
Support the National Transport Manager as required
Ensure Health and Safety requirements are adhered to always
Essential Criteria:
Demonstrated administrative skills gained in a Distribution/similar environment
Advanced Excel skills: formatting, pivot tables, VLookup
Intermediate or better skills using additional Microsoft suite software
Confident in collating data
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written & telephone)
Strong time management and organisational skills
A "can-do" attitude, the ability to problem solve, and the use of initiative
A high level of attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and spreadsheets
Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands
Manage and resolve routine internal & external issues and complaints in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring all parties are satisfied with the resolutions provided
Ability to take directions, give and receive honest feedback, and earn quickly
Confident in asking questions and making suggestions for improvement
Reliable, dependable, self-motivated, and have a strong work ethic
Must have reliable transport to and from work
Experience in a logistics/transport environment (Desirable)
Experience using CRM ticketing platform, i.e, Freshdesk (desirable)
